A Landmark Year: The BACC Closes 2025 at Portcullis House

The British Argentine Chamber of Commerce brought 2025 to a close in fitting style, holding its final Board Meeting of the year in hybrid format — overseas members connected online, UK-based members and partners gathered in person at Portcullis House, courtesy of Fabian Hamilton MP and his team. The meeting was chaired by BACC Chairman Ing. Javier Alvarez.

It was a moment to take stock of what has been, by any measure, an exceptional year.

2025 by the Numbers

Over the course of the year, the BACC hosted and co-hosted more than 20 missions and high-level events, welcomed over 600 government, industry, and business leaders from across all sectors, celebrated its 30th Anniversary, and launched its most ambitious edition yet of Curated Argentina.

New Sponsor Members

The BACC was delighted to welcome five new Sponsor Members to the Chamber family in 2025:

MAI10, Victorinox, Keith Prowse, Gaucho, and RXN.

Each brings something distinctive to the BACC community, and we look forward to building on these partnerships in the year ahead.

Distinguished Visitors

2025 was a year in which the BACC served as a convening point for some of the most senior figures in Argentine public and business life. We had the privilege of hosting:

Provincial Governors: Alfredo Cornejo (Mendoza), Alberto Weretilneck (Río Negro), Andrés Rolando Figueroa (Neuquén), and Martín Llaryora (Córdoba)

Ministers and Secretaries: Secretary of Mining Luis E. Lucero, Minister of Energy, Mining and Environment Jimena Latorre, and Secretary for Investment and International Trade Georgina Losada

Business Leaders: Dr José Luis Manzano (Integra Capital), Scott Mathis, and Horacio Daniel Marín

Each visit reflected the deepening engagement between Argentina's leadership and the UK business community — and the BACC's role as the natural convening point for those conversations in London.

A Year of Milestones

The BACC 30th Anniversary Dinner at The Travellers Club brought together over 75 guests, including H.E. Ambassador Mariana Plaza and Baroness Hooper, to celebrate three decades of fostering UK-Argentine business relations.

Curated Argentina 2025 saw 18 high-end luxury travel, wine, and hospitality products from Argentina showcased across London and Edinburgh — the fourth and most ambitious edition of the BACC's flagship trade mission.

New and Renewed Partnerships

2025 also saw the BACC expand and deepen its network of institutional partnerships — a foundation that makes everything else possible.

New partnerships and collaborations were established with the Canada-UK Chamber of Commerce, Air Europa, the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the IWSC, Chatham House, LATA – Latin American Travel Association, and the Embassy of Peru in the United Kingdom.

Long-standing collaborations were renewed with the Embassy of Argentina in the UK, the British Embassy in Buenos Aires, BritCham Argentina, the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the UK, Integra Capital, Balanz Capital, ERM, the Institute of the Americas, Wines of Argentina, Fundación ProMendoza, Verisk Maplecroft, Fundación ProSalta, Phoenix Global Resources, and PRC – Potasio Río Colorado.

Thank You

None of this would be possible without the members, partners, sponsors, collaborators, and friends who make the BACC what it is. To everyone who attended an event, joined a panel, opened their doors, or simply showed up — thank you for being part of our mission to foster business relations between Argentina and the United Kingdom.

2025 was a great year. We are already looking forward to what 2026 will bring.
