Curated Argentina 2025: Edinburgh Recap

After a packed and productive few days in London, Curated Argentina 2025 moved north to Edinburgh — and the Scottish capital did not disappoint. Here is a look back at how the mission came to a close.

Insight Session: Travel and Wine Promotion — Success Case Studies

The Edinburgh programme opened with a panel discussion on Travel and Wine Promotion: Success Case Studies, moderated once again by BACC Board Member and world travel specialist Maita Barrenechea.

The panel brought together Tomas Maunier, Managing Director at Southern Wind Group Ltd, and Sophie Airth from the Scotch Whisky Association — two voices with deep expertise in positioning premium products and destinations on the international stage. The conversation drew natural parallels between Scotland's success in exporting whisky as a cultural and commercial asset and Argentina's own opportunity to do the same with wine and luxury travel. The room left with plenty to reflect on.

Business and Press Networking Session

The Edinburgh networking session was, by all accounts, one of the most productive of the entire mission. Delegates had the opportunity to present the very best Argentina has to offer in luxury travel, wine, and hospitality to a carefully selected audience of Scottish and UK-wide buyers, press, and trade — building connections and opening conversations that we hope will translate into lasting commercial relationships.

Wine Discovery at Fazenda

The Edinburgh Wine Discovery gave guests from the press, trade, and luxury travel and hospitality sectors the chance to taste their way through Argentina's finest. Bottles from Elemental Wines, Club Tapiz, and Gualtallary featured alongside Argentine winners of IWSC Awards — proof, if any were needed, that Argentine wine more than holds its own on the world stage.

A Walking Tour with Flor de Escocia

Not everything was business. In between sessions, delegates took time to explore Edinburgh on a walking tour with Flor de Escocia — discovering the history, architecture, and unmistakable atmosphere of one of Europe's most captivating cities. A welcome reminder that the best trade missions leave room for the places they visit to make an impression.

Farewell Dinner at Fazenda

The mission drew to a close with a farewell dinner at Fazenda Rodizio Bar & Grill in Edinburgh — a fitting venue to end a week built around the best of Argentine food and drink culture. Delegates, partners, and key stakeholders gathered around the table one last time, celebrating a week of connections made and bridges built between Argentina and Scotland.

Our warmest thanks to Fazenda for hosting us and for treating the entire delegation to such a generous and memorable evening.
