Thirty Years and Counting: The BACC 30th Anniversary Dinner

On an evening that called for both reflection and celebration, the British Argentine Chamber of Commerce marked thirty years of fostering business relations between Argentina and the United Kingdom with an anniversary dinner at The Travellers Club, Pall Mall — one of London's most distinguished private members' clubs, and a fitting backdrop for an occasion of this significance.

The room brought together members, friends, colleagues, and the extended BACC network — the people who have made the Chamber what it is over three decades.

Distinguished Guests

The evening was honoured by the presence of two remarkable guests who took a moment to reflect on what the BACC has built and what it continues to represent.

H.E. Ambassador Mariana Plaza, Ambassador of Argentina to the United Kingdom, joined the celebration and shared words that spoke to the depth of the bilateral relationship the BACC has helped nurture over thirty years. Baroness Gloria Hooper also honoured the gathering with her presence, offering a perspective shaped by her own long connection to UK-Argentine ties and her appreciation for the Chamber's contribution to both countries.

Their words were a reminder that the BACC's work — quiet, consistent, and relationship-driven — has left a real mark.

The Evening

Guests enjoyed a wonderful dinner accompanied by wines generously provided by Gualtallary Wines — a fitting choice for an evening celebrating the best of Argentina in the heart of London.

The dinner also served as an opportunity for an update on Argentine business developments and the opportunities they present for the UK, bringing together executives and leaders from finance, energy, mining, consultancy, tourism, wine, and trade — a cross-section of the sectors that continue to define the UK-Argentine commercial relationship.
